Primo`s Tex-Mex Bar and Grille in Garland

Went there on a Friday night. To begin with we wanted to sit on the patio and enjoy the nice vibe on the water. When we got there they had live music, which I’m ok with, however it was WAY TO LOUD! Plus the band was terrible and every other verse they would stop playing and talk about some story. We couldn’t even have a conversation and we were in the last possible seat on the patio. I couldn’t even imagine being sitting close. That band plays on Friday’s and sundays so if you want a quiet night on the water do NOT go there. It was ridiculously loud and obnoxious.

Dined on the patio! Great experience! Chicken Baja was excellent! Cool breeze over the Lake and we had a great time! Bling Blinky of Texas Shout Out: Location and Good Food! Loved it!!

Incredible experience. It was too hot to sit outside on the patio, but got the next best seat - right by the glass facing the bay. I was able to enjoy the view and even watch a sailboat go by as I ate my Chicken Tampico - loaded with roasted veggies and Mexican corn. It was outstanding and I left feeling full.

The waiter spoiled this experience for us. Our drinks took ages to arrive and my husband's was wrong... Marcos even said it was wrong, but that as long as it had taken, there was no time to replace it. The food was also very slow to arrive, and my street tacos, though tasty, lacked cilantro - a key ingredient specified on the menu. We waited so long after we asked for the check that we finally got up and went inside figuring that if we looked as if we were leaving, someone might come and charge us for our meal. The view was spectacular and the rest of the staff was quite attentive and courteous.

Good food. Got their burrito. Was good but definitely rice overload. Have been there before and the enchiladas were good. Very good service. A bit noisy but most Mexican restaurants are. Not crowded and this was Sunday after church. Will go back again.

We got lunch at the patio the view to the lake was AWESOME we really enjoyed the time we spent there. The food was warm, tasty, there margaritas are perfect and the waiter very nice.

Always a great way to spend an afternoon looking at the water enjoying margaritas. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Great dishes: shrimp tacos and sour cream chicken enchiladas.

View was perfect, drinks were well made and the service was great. Food was decent

Food was excellent, perfect and DELICIOUS !!!Our first experience we had a waiter and his name was BENJAMIN, he provided OUTSTANDING COURTESY AND SERVICE! Our second visit was with a waitress named Michelle, who also provided OUTSTANDING COURTESY AND SERVICE! My wife and I and her dad will definitely be making more visits to Primo's.

Love the view of the lake towards the back of the restaurant. Brunch was fairly good. My wife and I had the Chilaquilas which were okay. Her son was served the wrong breakfast sandwich but the server noticed this and brought him what he ordered. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place as a go to for Tex Mex but the atmosphere and views are worth it. They also have a good size patio that overlooks the lake.

Excellent Tex-Mex, especially for dinner. Brunch is only so-so. We really enjoy their lakefront deck; in early summer it's mostly in the shade during early evening hours and very pleasant. Highly recommend the Tacos Al Pastor if you like spicy food. If not, order them without the diced jalapeño.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience on this visit.. we decided to have dinner at the bar because it was open and convenient.. the young girl who brought the salsa spilled it on my partners shirt and all down the back of her sweater hanging on the bar stool.. I cleaned it up best I could with rag and soda water from bartender.. who in turn gave us some queso free of charge but the taste was off so we told her no thanks.. we both ordered the fajita taco salad for dinner and that was a huge disappointment.. the food was okay but the size of a dinner salad .. 3 stars only due to the bartenders personality and service.

Food is great. Server actually carried a lime slice to our table in her hand. Wow!

Went there for our 11th anniversary. Nice view of the lake. The chimichanga was delicious and service was great.

Delicious food and drinks. I had the Asada & Shrimp Poblano. The meat was so tender and the sauce was yummy! I will definitely get that again and would recommend you try it. The only reason for 4 stars is because the service wasn't that great. A bartender had to wait on us because apparently the waiters all walked out. I only know this because we were told a long spill about it by the bartender. That is not acceptable in my opinion.

Great food and view. However the moment you required masks you lost our business. We’ll see y’all soon as you stop with the ridiculousness. Meanwhile Gloria’s will get our business.

Came here yesterday for happy hour and to sit on their great patio overlooking the water on a beautiful 70 degree day. Great happy hour prices on drinks and food! Had a wonderful time and cant wait to go again.

Dinner and service were fine,but when you spend $200.00 for a party of four,a ROACH should not be included In your dinning dining experience.

I usually do not write reviews but felt this was necessary. We were greeted and seated quickly. Orders were taken quickly and food was delivered quickly as well. The chips were stale and bland. Salsa was not salsa, just some boring red sauce. I had the chicken fajita tacos. Meat was dry and tasteless and the flour tortillas it was served in were cold. No extra condiments like sour cream, pico de gallo, or cheese to add to the tacos. No one came to check on how the food tasted once delivered. The beans were also pretty tasteless and the rice tasted like some cheap instant stuff. We will not be back.

They had a huge 4th of July fundraiser after that. They have not been checking temperatures since they opened back on May 1st. This is ALL part of the new management. We have contacted the health department many times about the codes they have been breaking and nothing has been done so reviews are going to have to do. If anything Primos is causing the spread of COVID not helping prevent it. They just care about how much people are doing in sales and not customers/staffs health.

The location was very nice and you could see the lake and there was outside seating. I ordered a he carne asada with the shrimp wrapped in bacon. The mushrooms were not cooked,the shrimp had a funny taste. Ordered the Pancho Villa appetizer and the cheese sauce taste like it came out of a can and the meat was the consistency of very fine minced,baby food. There was no taste to it.

Food wasn’t the best iv ever had but it was good. Service was really slow when I went but it was super packed. But the view of the lake is really cool on the back patio during the night

This is really an awesome place for the family! With a great view of Lake Ray Hubbard, it is very nice, and service is top notch!

The food is very good. If you get guacamole they make it right there in front of you. They bring the fajitas out on the pan it was made on and they ate sizzling hot. Not the best salsa or chips.

This place was horrible, salsa tasted like Pace picante, pintos were dry, shrimp had a horrible smell. Honestly, my money would have been better spent at taco bell.

It is a nice spot as you can see the lake, but the food is crap.. I ordered a margarita and the glass that they use was just not meant for such drink 🍸 .... the presentation of the food and drinks was horrible... Don’t waste your money there... The only good thing in the restaurant was the person I had dinner with.

$2 Margaritas were great! Had the spinach enchiladas and they were stuffed with way too much spinach but way tasty. Would've preferred a half sour cream sauce like the menu said but instead it was a drizzle. Overall, good chips and salsa and good service.

Great atmosphere. Love sitting water-side on the patio, enjoying Tex-Mex and drinks watching the birds and boats. Inside is nice, too, if the weather is bad. Service was decent. The menu is relatively simple compared to some nearby Tex-Mex options, but it's a good spot for the basics.

Service is slow and the food was average at best. Rice was crunching and shrimp tacos were ice cold. Frozen margarita machine was broke and the servers wore their mask under their chins. One server tried to serve a piece of lime with her fingers. I wont be going back anytime soon, or ever.

Had the B.E.T. sandwich, it was pretty delicious as I'm sure you can see with that beautiful, delicious cheese flowing over the egg, mmmmm. And the service was good too, the waitress was very friendly and attentive.

It just felt great getting out the house with my wife, but between the food, the atmosphere, the AWESOME view of Lake Ray Hubbard, and an AMAZING wait person by the name of Jessica( I'm so sorry if Im spelling her name wrong!!), her attention to detail and POSITIVE ATTITUDE just made our evening that much more special!!😊😊😊💯💯💯

Mediocre food and pricey for what it is. On par with an on The border honestly. Also manager and staff don't know how to wear a mask.

We had our company party here and the customer service was great! The food was fabulous! They cleaned the tables regularly and checked on us frequently! The bartenders even came from out of the bar area and hand delivered beers. We will come back next year! Thanks!

I love the patio overlooking Lake Ray Hubbard, with long time friends getting together, as we have too busy to take the time, got out of touch... The drinks are fabulous.. & if course the food is Fab as well... It's one of my favorite places at the Lake... Just talking about how big our kids r now, sharing Grandbaby pictures, just catching u

I am a concerned customer that learned of this business not properly making sure their employees were screened before working. There has also been concerns of them NOT sanitizing properly. We need to take this virus seriously and if you choose to eat out please eat somewhere that takes in account their employees and customer’s safety . Allegedly there was an employee who tested positive and had the virus while working. Please be careful if you decide to eat there.

Cade was exceptional. Service was second to none and the food was as good as I’ve ever had. Atmosphere was peaceful. Customer service was excellent. Everyone was very attentive to our needs

Food is good. I got the fajitas. Not too bad. Could have used some more diverse beer selection though. I won't go out of my way to make it a destination but may stop by again if in the area.
